TyTy Washington shoots up Rivals rankings, now No. 11 in final update – kentuckysportsradio.com

Kentucky signee TyTy Washington is now officially a consensus top-16 prospect in the class of 2021.

In Rivals’ final recruiting rankings for senior class, the newest Wildcat moved up to No. 11 overall, good for No. 3 overall among point guards. Washington jumped 21 total spots in the updated rankings, the largest leap of any five-star prospect and second to only Tamar Bates (27-spot jump to No. 30) in the top 50.

“Washington became one of the hottest names in the county over the last six months, as he established himself as one of the top scorers in the class and is becoming a more complete guard from a facilitating standpoint by the day,” Rivals Basketball Recruiting Director Rob Cassidy said of Washington.

Washington is rated as the No. 12 overall prospect by ESPN and the No. 16 overall prospect by 247Sports.

As for Kentucky’s two other signees, five-star forward Daimion Collins dropped five spots to No. 15 overall, good for No. 4 at the power forward position. Four-star forward Bryce Hopkins dropped seven spots to No. 35 overall, good for No. 9 among small forwards in the class.

247Sports lists Collins and Hopkins at No. 10 overall and No. 40 overall, respectively, while ESPN lists them at No. 17 overall and No. 31 overall, respectively.
